How It works

The SafeSearch Online system is easy to understand and use. And it all begins with your application. Once your application is accepted, you can login and begin purchasing data sheets.

SafeSearch Online offers two different ways to search the database:

  • Information Search
Members who have basic information about the safe they're looking for, such as manufacturer, model, and/or serial number can enter those into the search fields. The system then searches for matches in the database and returns a page of safe illustrations from which you can select the safe you want.
  • Visual Search
If you're dealing with an older safe and don't have basic information such as manufacturer or model name/number, you can select the second search method. This method allows you to visually identify the safe you're working on by viewing thumbnail drawings of various safes.

Once you think you've found your safe, you can click to view the details about that safe, which will show you up-close drawings of the different parts of the safe to help further identify it. If you've found your safe, you can then click the "Buy Now" button to purchase the data sheet. If it turns out that's not your safe, click the Back button to return to the search page.

If you've found your safe, and you've purchased the data sheet, you can access the data sheet on the My Data Sheets page in your member's area. Data sheets are in PDF format, so you will need the free Acrobat Reader program installed on your computer.

As long as you maintain your SafeSearch Online membership, you will have permanent access to the data sheets you've purchased.

SafeSearch Online has many security features built in for its own protection and yours. And while we've taken steps to ensure the authenticity of each person that logs in to the system, we've also gone to great effort to make the system simple and easy to use. So please be sure to keep your login information in a safe place.

If you are inactive for more than 15 minutes, you will be automatically logged out of the system. This is a safe gaurd to keep others from using your account if you've stepped away from your computer. It's also a good practice to close the browser window when your done using the system. Doing so will clear your browser's memory, and prevent someone from hitting the Back button to access your account after you've left your computer.
